Who we are
Builders Manchester Ltd is a locally owned, family-run building contractor with an office at 792 Wilmslow Road in Didsbury. We set up the business to give Manchester homeowners something that is surprisingly hard to find: a builder who turns up when they say they will, explains things clearly, and finishes the job properly.
Our team of builders and project managers works alongside architects, structural engineers and trusted specialist trades. Between us we handle every part of a building project, from the first drawings to the final coat of paint.
What we do
We specialise in home extensions, loft conversions, garage conversions, bathroom and kitchen renovations, full property renovations and new build homes. Most of our work is in south Manchester, Stockport and Trafford, within easy reach of our Didsbury base.
How we work
Every project starts with a free site visit and an honest conversation about what you want and what it will cost. We then send a detailed written quote with no hidden extras. Once work starts, you have one point of contact who keeps you updated and is easy to reach.
We look after the paperwork too: planning or permitted development checks, Building Control, party wall notices and certificates. When we finish, we walk round the work with you and make sure you are happy before we hand back your home.
What matters to us
- Quality: good materials, proper preparation and finishes we are proud to put our name to.
- Honesty: clear pricing, realistic timescales and straight answers, even when it is not what you hoped to hear.
- Respect: a tidy site, considerate working hours and care for your home and your neighbours.
- Local responsibility: sourcing locally where we can and reducing waste on every job.
